If there had been any trepidation on the part of the five players, it soon dissolved. Nick again: "We started chatting and, 15 minutes later, it was as though we were filling an enormous vacuum, a space that had been empty for 15 years. Our characters were all intact. Ten minutes in, we were having the same arguments!" Jokes Andy: "It hadn't gone pear-shaped. No one had disappeared or gone mad. We thought: This is amazing! Roger Taylor remembers the immediate good feeling he had being back with all his band-mates after so much time apart. "It was a back-with-family feeling," he says. "Like sitting in a room with your best mates from school. It took time to adjust because you can become set in your ways, but there was an instant feeling of familiarity."
