One of the seminal tracks from her landmark album 'Jagged Little Pill', an acoustic version of 'Hand In My Pocket' will be available as a download single from July 18th.

'Hand In My Pocket' will be available from all of the major download websites and is taken from the acoustic version of 'Jagged Little Pill' that will be released on July 25th to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of one of the biggest albums of all time.

"There's a sweetness to this song that I noticed in revisiting it," commented Alanis. "This version has a sweet melancholy quality that is imbued by having changed the chords a bit. I feel like this version matches where I am a little bit better now."

Having peaked at #26 upon its original single release, 'Hand In My Pocket' was a massive radio hit and proved to be one of the major factors in the success of 'Jagged Little Pill.'

The acoustic version of 'Jagged Little Pill' features intimate versions of the original 'Jagged Little Pill' running order, all re-recording with the albums original producer Glenn Ballard with new versions of Alanis classics such as 'Ironic', 'You Oughta Know' and 'Head Over Feet' all set to be highlights. It also features all new artwork plus previously unreleased video footage dating back to its original release.

The original 'Jagged Little Pill' an incredible 30-million+ copies worldwide since its release in 1995, 3.5-million of those in the UK. The album has clocked up 270 weeks on the UK album charts; 11 of those at #1 and a further 70 weeks in the Top 40.

In the US, 'Jagged Little Pill' is the biggest-selling debut by a female artist and the 14th best-selling album ever. It also won four Grammy Awards, including Album Of The Year.
