Alex Parks - Honesty

Whatever you think of reality TV, some great voices have come out of them, from Will Young to Kelly Clarkson and Alex Parks is one of them - her voice is simply gorgeous, and she shows it off on her new single, the title track from her new album 'Honesty' on 23rd January through Polydor Records.

'Honesty' is an upbeat song, which is fast becoming a live favourite with fans and was written by Alex as a contrast to another track on the album, 'Get Out'. Alex says, "Get Out is about how I hate feeling tied down and always need an escape route. So I wrote Honesty as a response." It starts with the admission that honesty is the best policy and builds into a big rock singalong.

Alex is very proud of the new material from her largely self-composed album, which has been going down a storm with fans at sold out live dates around the country. Alex will also be playing at the Shepherds Bush Empire on 10th February and has also just added a date near her home town at the Hall For Cornwall on 7th February.

Alex says, ""Playing live is the best part of what I do. The response from fans down at the shows has been fantastic. It's a great feeling to get up on stage and perform songs which mean so much to you. I'm really pleased they're being so well received."
