Britney Spears Gimme More / New Album Entitled Blackout

The new album from Britney Spears is to be called Blackout, and will be Britney's first album in four years. It is to be released earlier than planned after songs were leaked on the internet. Blackout, will now be released two weeks ahead of its previously planned release date, out on 29 October, or 30 October in the US.

The first single, Gimme More is catchy, funky and very Britney. I Like Music like it a lot! It entered the Billboard chart at number three. It's out this week, released as a download on October 15th. It's sitting pretty at number 1 on the iTunes video chart!
Next week (October 22nd) sees the release of the 2 track CD with a remix from Kaskade. DOWNLOAD single here.

There will be no PR campaign for the album due to the personal issues Britney has faced under intense press scrutiny in recent months, so it's up to Britney's fans to support the release and buy the record. It's important to remember that Britney isn't a cartoon or a character in a movie, she's real, a human being. Britney's record label have said that the title of the album, Blackout, refers to blocking out negativity to fully embrace life.

The Spice Girls will release their album of Greatest Hits on the previously planned release date for Britney's album, November 12, followed by new single, Headlines. So, come November 12th, girl power will be in full effect.

Furthermore, Kylie's new album X featuring electro pop single, 2 Hearts is due out on November 26th. Her 10th album was recorded in Ibiza, London and Stockholm, and features 13 tracks.
