Eliza Doolittle - Piano Song

Eliza Doolittle is currently working on her debut album, due for release later this year. Recorded part in New York, part in London, she has worked with some of the greatest studio whiz kids on both sides of the Atlantic. From the legendary Commissioner Gordon (Lauryn Hill) and the hot-new-kids-on-the-block, to Uk hip hop's Al Shucks (Sway) and the up and coming Truth & Soul (Jay-Z, Adele). Among the tracks already laid down, is 'running for life' which will feature in the forthcoming film 'Adulthood' - the sequel to the cult, critically acclaimed 'Kidulthood'.

The first cut to be released from Eliza's forthcoming album will be 'Piano Song'. A stripped down ode to the simplest form of memory, the melodic and folky, yet hip-hop influenced, piano song showcases Eliza's musicianship as much as her quirky lyricism and captivating vocals.

It's not just on record that Eliza cuts it but live too. Drawing you in with her arresting stage presence, and her electrifying voice. Doolittle is one of the most charismatic live acts you will see in 2008. Confident without being cocky; she delivers her music simply and without pretension, just real true emotion.

Eliza Doolittle's piano song will be released digitally on 1 July. Forthcoming live dates as follows…

22nd June: The Drift, Southsea
