Erik Hassle - Don't Bring Flowers

Erik Hassle is a brand new and brilliant 20 year old pop star from Sweden. Like all the best artists he has great tunes, a great name, a totally unique look and, most importantly, fantastic hair. A hugely talented performer, musician and songwriter with a truly exceptional voice, Erik releases his UK debut single Don't Bring Flowers through Island Records.

The latest in a long line of genius Scandi pop artists, Erik is a massive word of mouth success in Sweden - his debut single there, Hurtful (to be released in the UK later in 2009) has already spent over a year at the top of the Swedish Single and Airplay charts.

Swedish success inevitably led to a rush of interest from UK record companies and Erik flew to London earlier this year for meetings with several labels. His visit co-incided with the biggest snow storm the UK had seen for years and all of Erik's meetings bar one with Island were cancelled. Island promptly signed him through the Stockholm based Artist Company Ten on the spot, and the rest is history in the making.
