  • Ellen, Los CampesinosEllen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
  • Oliver, Young KnivesOliver, Young Knives: ilikemusic because... It evokes a mood and a feeling of when you last heard the track.
  • O'BaileyO'Bailey: ilikemusic because... I can live vicariously through a song, whether it's a screaming angry rock anthem or a silly kids song ("I'm a little yellow fish" anyone?) haha!
  • Rachel SmallRachel Small: ilikemusic because... it make me feel alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Maria husbandMaria husband: ilikemusic because... it's exciting to listen to songs u like and it can make a night out fun
  • Tom BaxterTom Baxter: ilikemusic because... It makes you feel alive more than anything else.
  • Mister Jitter SkitterMister Jitter Skitter: ilikemusic because... Bluespop - a chance to experience what we can't afford .. is that imposed, and abandon ourselves in the luxury of self attained clarity .. is that an aspic Hey there a Big 209 - jitters
  • Scott, Thin LizzyScott, Thin Lizzy: ilikemusic because... It lets my adrenalin start pumping, it gets aggression out, and sometimes I can actually get emotional with it. There are many reasons why I like music.

Girls Aloud - Chemistry / See The Day

Girls Aloud release their third album 'Chemistry' on December 5th through Polydor records.

The release coincides with Girls Aloud's third year together. In that time, the feisty five have released a stack of cracking singles that have made people fall in love with pop again. Oh, and, as 'Biology' has hit the top ten - like the other 9 - they're the first girl band to do so since the Spice Girls.

With 'Chemistry' Sarah, Nicola, Nadine, Kimberley and Cheryl - we're on first name terms now - have made a quirky British pop album. In a genre where girl bands dream of being Destiny's Vogue, Girls Aloud have made an album that reflects what it's like to be a 20-something girl living in the UK.

There's attitude ['Models'], there's heartbreak ['Whole Lotta History'], there's sauciness ['Watch Me Go']. Make no mistake this is a 24-carot solid gold pop album but thrown into the mix are snatches of rock, house, electro, salsa, rap and ska. The album has been made by breaking the rules on what you can do with pop. Who said you can't have two choruses in one song or three different sounds in another?
