Jun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!

Ellen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.James Morrison has paired up with Nelly Furtado to release an awesome, belter of a duet entitled Broken Strings that's sure to have commuters singing at the top of their lungs in cars across the country shortly. The single will be the second from his new album and will be available from December 8th 2008 through Polydor Records.
Broken Strings is James Morrison's latest release from new album Songs For You, Truths For Me and will be the rugby-born singer songwriter's first ever duet. The album debuted at #3 when it was released on September 29th 2008 and has sold over 200,000 in just a few weeks. Broken Strings will be the follow-up to first single from the new record, You Make It Real which was a top three radio airplay hit.
James has also just announced an 11-date UK tour for March/April 2009 following the shows he's due to do in November this year that sold out. Next year's tour starts at Manchester Apollo on Friday 20th March 2009 and ends at Bournemouth BIC on Tuesday 7th April 2009.
James' last album (also his debut) Undiscovered went straight in at Number 1 in the UK album chart in July 2006 and went on to sell over two million copies worldwide, making it one the biggest debut albums of that year. This was an awesome feat for a then unknown 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Derby. He's since toured with Corinne Bailey-Rae and John Mayer, played alongside his hero Cat Stevens, performed at the concert for Diana (amongst other huge events), had a Top 30 album in the US and won a Brit Award for best Male in 2007 where he was nominated for three gongs. A fairytale start to anyone's career.
