Jessica Simpson "nicks" the spotlight on 5th February with the release of a party anthem of a single 'A Public Affair', digitally released on 29th January 2007.

The single is taken from Jessica's forthcoming fifth studio album of the same name, released on 12th February. The album, Jessica Simpson's 5th studio long player, is her biggest album to date entering the US chart at No.5 late in 2006.

'A Public Affair' is the second UK single to be lifted of the album, following last years No.2 UK hit 'These Boots Are Made For Walking', a track which sent many a pulse racing and made denim hot pants socially acceptable again in nightclubs!

'A Public Affair' is accompanied by a filmed roller-disco-orgy full of beauties including; Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate and Christina Milian. There are real people in the video too but we don't know their names. The video is so hot that it's been viewed over half a million times on YouTube. WATCH THE VIDEO here

The single was co-written with Johnta Austin who has previously worked with Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige, while production comes from Lester Mendez who has worked his magic with Pet Shop Boys, Jimmy Page and The Spice Girls. In addition to Lester, the album features production from Scott Storch (Mya, Snoop Dogg and DMX), Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson, Usher) and Stargate (Beyonce, Rihanna).
