Following the success of Just Jack's blazing single Embers from his impressive new album All Night Cinema (July 6th), he releases the insanely catchy Doctor Doctor, available from June 22nd on Mercury.
Written and produced by Jack (co-produced by Jay Reynolds) Doctor Doctor sees Jack at his searing best, a buoyant track with a funky groove, trademark witty lyrics and addictive hooks.
The song is about people who don't fit into situations," says Jack. "It's a kind of about a guy who is obsessed with a girl at work, but he starts to hate her because she won't notice him, which does happen, really dark resentment can come out of unrequited love."
All Night Cinema features straight-out, hard-hitting pop songs, wrapped around Jack's razor-sharp lyrics and acute observations. Lyrically, he finds himself talking about everything from the sublime to the ordinary, eloquently depicting life in England in Jack's very own inimitable way.
