KT Tunstall - Under The Weather

KT Tunstall's position as one of the success stories of 2005 is now beyond doubt following the success of her last single "Suddenly I See" and the success of her multi platinum debut album "Eye To The Telescope", which has just spent 2 months ensconced in the Top 10 of the UK album chart.

That status is set to be enhanced still further with the December 5th release of her next single, 'Under The Weather'. From the lilting introduction to it's emotional climax, 'Under The Weather' encapsulates KT's abilities as a truly talented and unique singer songwriter.

KT walked away from this year's Q Awards with the prestigious Best Track award for her song 'Black Horse & The Cherry Tree', beating competition in the category from U2, Coldplay, James Blunt and Oasis. The track is also lifted from 'Eye to the Telescope', which has just been certified double platinum to mark sales of over 600,000 copies in the UK alone.

It was also nominated for last month's prestigious Mercury Music Prize, and it's UK success is now being mirrored all over Europe. The album has sold over a million copies worldwide.

2005 has also seen KT's reputation as a great live performer flourish. Performances at Glastonbury and V were rapturously received, while critics heaped praise on her headline shows. KT is currently on a sold out tour of the UK, her biggest ever, including a three night run at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on 20th, 21st and 22nd October.
