KT first became involved with Global Cool's 10-year campaign, which aims to encourage individuals to drastically reduce their personal CO2 emissions, at last year's Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Over the past year the Scottish singer/songwriter has led the way in green touring by embracing innovative actions such as offsetting the CO2 emissions of her headline US tour and running her tour bus on environmentally-friendly biodiesel fuel.
This year's Golden Globe party is an all-green affair, hosted at 9900 Wilshire Beverly Hills, a recently completed 'green building' apartment block. The 'Golden Green Party' will be a Carbon-Neutral event in addition to featuring a sustainable décor and organic food. Los Angeles based environmental group, the TreePeople, will also plant a tree for every guest that attends the party.
