Desyn Masiello: ilikemusic because... It saved my life!"Pumpkin Soup" is an untouchable pop-song with an indelible hook - Ms Nash fesses up about her feelings for a smitten suitor "I just want your kiss boy".
Kate Nash, and her debut album "Made of Bricks" are "The pop success story of 2007" (Q Magazine). Single "Foundations" was released in June, and a nation promptly fell head-over-heels for Kate as the song went on to spend 8 weeks in the Top 5, leading NME to dub Kate "Queen of the Summer".
Such was the interest in Ms Nash, the release of "Made of Bricks" was brought forward by 7 weeks and promptly went straight to No.1 in the album charts. There followed single "Mouthwash", another smash-hit that cemented Kate's reputation and uncanny knack for writing unique and magical pop songs.
Q were quick to acknowledge Kate's spectacular rise at this year's Awards, presenting her with the Breakthrough Award. From playing tiny gigs in her home-patch of Harrow at the start of the year, Kate has just completed a sold-out 22 date UK tour, including 2 nights at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. The February/March tour for 2008 is already close to selling out and "Made of Bricks" is now Platinum in the UK.
