Leona Lewis - Sport Relief Single in UK and Spirit US Release

Leona Lewis, winner of the British TV talent show "X Factor," lands in the US this spring with an appearance on Oprah March 17th and her debut CD Spirit hitting stores April 8th.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Leona Lewis releases Better in Time: Official Sport Relief Single 2008 on March 17th. It's a double a-side single fusing ballad style pop and RnB. There are new mixes of Better In Time and Footprints In The Sand, plus a new track on the B-side called You Bring Me Down.

Leona Lewis has said that a recent trip to South Africa for Sport Relief has changed her outlook on life.

She said: "Sometimes you will see an advert on TV and you'll think about it for five minutes and then you kind of switch over and you switch off and don't think about it anymore. But these are not just faces, they're people."

"Most of [the children] are orphaned or have lost one or both parents. They were just so amazing and so happy and singing and dancing and so smiley and just want to give you hugs."
