Cascada slipped a position to five, with their Truly Madly Deeply single, while festive favourite, The Pogues' featuring Kirsty MacColl, Fairytale of New York single which was first released in 1987, climbed the Chrimbo chart to number six. The record that will probably be played out in the clubs and discos over Christmas the most is Boogie 2Nite by Booty Luv, which remained in the top 10 at number eight. While Chris Cornell's Casino Royal Theme Tune dropped three places to number 10. And Sir Cliff Richard slipped to seven with 21st Century Christmas.
Meanwhile there was minimal movement in the album chart, with Take That number one, Westlife number two and Oasis best-of compilation Stop The Clocks at number three. George Michael climbed to number five with his TwentyFive best of album.
