Lily Allen releases LDN

LDN is a sumptious and delightful summery track with an urban edge. Made for pop heaven. This girl is one to watch in 2006 for shizzle!!! Genius lyrics that mix the real grit of real life with delightful melodies, head-nodding beats and layers of funk and jazz.
Lily has a lot of diverse influences to build upon. Her influences range from Blondie, The Specials, SL2, Baby D, and Dizzee Rascal, to T REX "possibly the best band ever ever !", Kate Bush "when she was my age", Neneh Cherry, Primal Scream, 808 state, Squeeze, Mobb Deep and Rolf Harris!
What's more, she looks lots of fun. She doesn't mince her words (read her blog on MySpace) and writes terrific pop gems. Listening to Lily Allen is much like finding a musical box of tricks and out she pops like a jackinabox with her jazz-fused pop-funk loveliness and edgy REAL lyrics. All in all, a shining and refreshing example of UK new music brilliance! Nice one Lily!
