McFly - Do Ya/Stay With Me

McFly are delighted to announce that their forthcoming single Do Ya has been chosen as the official song for this year's Children In Need appeal.

Do Ya, the third track taken from current album Radio:ACTIVE, which was released in September 2008, continues to evolve McFly's sound with a heavier, contemporary rock production, yet retains the band's trademark infectious pop hooks and warm vocal harmonies.

"Do Ya is one of my all time favourite McFly tracks and one of the best songs we've ever written!" says singer Tom Fletcher.

For Children In Need, Do Ya comes backed with a specially recorded cover of The Faces' '70s classic Stay With Me, with the profits from the sale of both tracks donated directly to the charity.

McFly will be appearing throughout the show performing both songs on BBC1's Children In Need on Friday 14th November 2008. They will open the show at 7pm with a live performance of Stay With Me and then dash to a waiting helicopter at their own expense from West London to the Birmingham NEC to continue their Radio:ACTIVE UK arena tour. From there, they will then fly back to TV Centre in London with a BBC film crew in tow to perform Do Ya live in the show, which is broadcast until 2am.
