McFly Single Tops UK Chart

McFly have gone straight in at the top of the UK singles chart, knocking Beyonce and Shakira's duet to second place to score a number one with their double A-side Baby's Coming Back and Transylvania. Baby's Coming Back was a 1991 hit by US act Jellyfish.

Meanwhile, despite their poor score at Eurovision, Scooch managed to secure the number five slot with their Flying the Flag single.

Akon's Don't Matter single climbed the chart eight places to number three, with Gym Class Heroes at number four with Cupid's Chokehold.

Linkin Park climbed to number six with What I've Done by Linkin Park and Amerie's Take Control rose to number 10.

Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder single entered the chart at 19.

Meanwhile, in the album chart, Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare album topped the album chart for a third week in a row, with the Manic Street Preachers' Send Away the Tigers album, at number two.

The Boy With No Name by Travis entered the album chart at number four, while Bjork's Volta went straight in at seven.

Beverley Knight's Music City Soul album went in at number eight while Groove Armada's sold Soundboy Rock charted at ten.
