Mêlée - Built To Last
Riding high on airplay charts across mainland Europe, Orange County quartet Mêlée make their UK debut with the July 14th release of the single 'Built To Last' that will be released on Warner Bros. Records.
Equally crafted around piano-based melody, a raw rock edge and vocalist/pianist Chris Cron's emotive, soulful vocals, 'Built To Last' was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Head Automatica). The single is taken from their second album and debut UK release 'Devils & Angels' that follows on July 21st.
'Devils & Angels' focuses on the band's accomplished, songwriting, with including the soaring ballad 'Can't Hold On' and the sheer energy of 'Frequently Baby (She's a Teenage Maniac)'. The album also tackles lyrical themes as diverse Hurricane Katrina ('Rhythm of Rain'), schizophrenia ('Imitation') and death ('Can't Hold On') alongside more common topics. The band's songs are written by Cron and guitarist Ricky Sans, with bassist Ryan Malloy and drummer Mike Nader contributing to the arrangements.
