Micah P Hinson

Micah P Hinson - When We Embraced

When We Embraced is the first single from Micah P Hinson and the Red Empire Orchestra, the outstanding new album from the Texan singer-songwriter. Micah's third album is his first outing on brand new label Full Time Hobby.

Micah P Hinson and The Red Empire Orchestra is the album Hinson almost didn't make. For a man who'd known addiction to painkillers, a jail sentence and bankruptcy by the time he was 20, Hinson finally appeared to have his life on track when he embarked on a recording career with 2004's debut, Micah P Hinson and The Gospel Of Progress.

But fate took a cruel and ironic twist. While preparing his second album, Micah P Hinson and The Opera Circuit, a friend tapped Hinson playfully on the back and dislocated a vertebrae. Though the force of the impact was small, the effect was massive - Hinson's health rapidly deteriorated, and he was put back on painkillers.

Hinson finished the Opera Circuit tour in agony and retired to his hometown of Abilene, Texas, to recuperate. As time passed, Hinson began contemplating his next move; the life of a touring musician was becoming a memory and, though he was concerned about losing his public, he was unsure when - or how - to make the next move.
