Kerr was Leeds best kept secret with packed out gigs and a legion of fans falling in love with his sometimes witty, sometimes heartbreaking songs and poems that detail life with a poets keen eye.

Naturally funny and, like all the best comedians, armed with a melancholic edge, Micky P Kerr is also a fine songwriter - a northern renaissance man who has already been championed by the likes of Huw Stephens, Lauren Lavern, Steve Lamacq, Rob da Bank, Gary Crowley, Colin Murray on BBC radio as well as Q Radio with Russell Kane, NME Radio and Radio 3's 'The Verb' show, all of which reflecting his diverse appeal.
