  • simon f bakersimon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
  • paul skinbakpaul skinbak: ilikemusic because... its very sexy
  • Ellen, Los CampesinosEllen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
  • Josh RitterJosh Ritter: ilikemusic because... It’s like an envelope that I can carry around with me wherever I go and I can unfold the letter at anytime.
  • Jo WhileyJo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.

Paolo Nutini - Pencil Full of Lead

Paolo Nutini releases his exuberant new single Pencil Full Of Lead available from October 26 2009 - the third to be taken from his critically-acclaimed No.1 album Sunny Side Up, which has sold over 400,000 copies so far and has been a permanent fixture in the Top Ten since its June 1 release.

Written by Paolo Nutini and produced by Paolo and Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon), Pencil Full Of Lead, one of the album's many highlights, sees Paolo's vocals bounce along to the tune's ragtime pop at their show-stopping best.

Paolo reckons s the songs of Sunny Side Up are already changing the way he performs. "I have to stand with my chest out," he says. "Different things are coming out. This record's called Sunny Side Up for a reason. I want to keep it positive."

Pencil Full Of Lead is available on the following formats:

Digital download
CD
Maxi CD (concert live exclusive)
7inch (concert live exclusive)

To coincide with Paolo's 15-date UK Tour, Concert Live have created an exclusive opportunity to buy a CD of the live show immediately after each tour date, via www.concertlive.co.uk

The live CD sets also include a bonus 3rd disc, featuring exclusive back stage shots of Paolo in Blackpool.

Following Paolo's 15-date UK tour he plays a couple of shows in Australia before returning to Europe for more performances.
