Pussycat Dolls go Bollywood for the release of their scorching single Jai Ho! [You Are My Destiny] available from April 13th through Interscope Records.
Pussycat Dolls have reinterpreted the epic song from the film everybody is talking about, Slumdog Millionaire. The original version of Jai Ho! won the Best Original Song award at the Academy Awards last month. Nicole Scherzinger wrote the lyrics and worked with additional producer Ron Fair to take the A.R Rahman original to a whole new audience. Combining the traditional Bollywood sounds with urban beats, Jai Ho! [You Are My Destiny] has already caused a stir on line, with both Bollywood and PCD fans raving about the new version.
"It's an honor to be able to collaborate with A.R. Rahman and be a part of the Slumdog Millionaire project in any way," says Nicole. "The movie, the story and the music were a gift and very spiritually uplifting for me. I can only hope and pray Slumdog Millionaire, and my version of Jai Ho! [You Are My Destiny] touches and connects people all around the world."
