Sara Bareilles - Bottle It Up
Fresh from the resounding success of her debut UK single, Love Song, Sara Bareilles is set to release her follow up single, Bottle It Up.
Love Song was a top 5 hit for Sara, and a radio airplay #1, and Bottle It Up looks set to continue Sara's great run here. The track showcases Sara's signature singer/songwriter style, with a chorus that will stay in your head for days.
Sara, hailing from California, has been garnering a host of critical acclaim in the UK with Attitude proclaiming her as "this generation's Tori Amos" while the Guardian stated that "Bareilles' lyrics are fuelled by a playfulness, honesty and self-doubt that's distinctly her own", and Heat described Love Song as "gorgeous and geeky, sweet and saucy".
Both Bottle It Up and Love Song are taken from the debut album, Little Voice. Speaking of the album, Sara says "Little Voice is a collection of songs that pretty much mean the world to me. They chronicle my life, my relationships, my basket-case-ness, and my utter devotion to trying to write honest stuff down and share it. That's where the title comes from."
Over the summer, Sara will be touring with Maroon 5 across the USA and has also confirmed a live show at London's Scala on the eve of Bottle It Up's release, 28th September 2008. She's also been picked as an MTV Artist of the Week and stars in a new commercial which sees Sara perform Bottle It Up in a variety of settings, with quirky dancers performing, dressed for the scene they're in.
