Scouting for Girls formed in late 2005 by lifelong friends Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard. Their music encompasses a lighthearted pop style reflecting on childhood innocence and experiences.
The name Scouting for Girls is a play on words on the renowned Scouting for Boys handbook, first published in 1908 for the Scouts, which provides boys instructions on good citizenship. Continuing with the theme, the SFG fan club is known as the 'Wolfcubs' and is based on the Dennis The Menace fanclub.
Since 2005 the band has built-up a large internet based audience. They head out on tour, here are their remaining dates:
