Take That Score 10th Number One in UK Chart

Take That have scored their 10th number one single of their career with their new single Shine. Their first number one, Pray, topped the charts back in 1993 and their previous number one, Patience, earned them a Brit Award this year for Best Single. The reformed boy band's latest song, Shine, climbed nine places to claim the top spot, knocking the Kaiser Chiefs single Ruby down to number two.

But The Kaiser Chiefs should still be happy with their new album, Yours Truly Angry Mob entering the album chart at number one, losing the top spot in the single's chart but claiming the top spot in the album chart.

Take That's Beautiful World album, which topped the chart when it was released in 2006, climbed back up to number two. Take That's latest tour, their second since reforming, sold out in just three hours this weekend. Subsequently, six new dates have been added to their arena tour.

Other chart climbers included Gwen Stefani featuring Akon with The Sweet Escape at number three, and The Gossip, who's fantastic Standing In The Way of Control single climbed to number seven following physical release, although the track has been in the chart for 18 weeks based on download sales alone.

Mika fell with Grace Kelly to number four and Fray's How To Save A Life stayed still at five.

Cascada scored their third top ten hit with Miracle going straight in at number eight. Other new entries included Camille Jones/Fedde Le Grande with Creeps in at number 16, and Pigeon Detectives in at number 19 with their Romantic Type single.
Ugly Rumours scored a number 21 position in the singles chart with their protest song War. This is based on the strength of campaigning at the Stop The War demo in London recently.

Meanwhile, in the album chart, Hayley Westenara was the only artist with a new entry inside the top ten. Her album Treasure went straight in at nine. Check back soon for the I Like Music interview with Hayley.
