The Modern - ‘Jane Falls Down’

New Cross five-piece The Modern are set to release their debut single Jane Falls Down through Vertigo Records in the UK on October 31st.

This is the first track to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, which will be released in early 2006.

A self proclaimed 'antidote to pub rock', The Modern bask in a sexy, synthetic and forward thinking space. This is a band obsessed with glamour, theatricality, synthesizers and style. They're pure pop with brains and balls, electroclash with warmth and tunes whose appeal spans the rubber-clad Goths, New Cross indie scenesters and unashamed pop kids alike.

Remixes of Jane Falls Down appear by Maidstone's finest Nic Fanciulli (one of the UK's hottest and most 'In-demand' rising stars), who unleashes a killer remix under his brand new guise 'The Buick Project'.

The Modern are currently on a 42 date 'Modern Love' tour of the UK, which commenced in Cardiff on August 10th, and will finish in Canterbury on November 26, with a slight detour to glamorous Ibiza on September 2nd where they performed at an 'Ibiza Rocks' night at Manumission with the Kaiser Chiefs.
