Alesha finally steps out on her own with the release of her hugely anticipated debut single Lipstick on August 14th through Polydor records. The super cool, sassy single is set to seal her place as the UK's first lady of pop. I Like Music have always had a soft spot for Alesha, ever since we interviewed the Mis-teeq ladies back in 2001, and now she's back, sensational, charismatic, a princess rapper and popstar.
The single - which Alesha wrote - urges women to stop bitching about each other and unite. "Why do you think that every girl out there's your enemy…" she hollers over an infectious loud and frantic beat produced by Anders Bagge [Madonna/Jennifer Lopez] WATCH THE VIDEO here
