And so a five tracker, packed with new songs and a banger from the album. If I worked in Woollies I'd reckon that was a snip. The other thing being, if I'm into a band I wanna hear where they're at right now not what they thought about two years ago. This lot delivers. Formula abandoned and new envelopes pushed. Just 'cos it worked last time is the last reason to repeat the trick. No one in my house wants 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' part two.
The tracks on offer here are a move away in my mind. More George Formby than anything. The sound of a band on the move. Maybe they aren't the perfect considered pieces of pop dynamite the wolves demand. This thing's maybe more a statement in itself. A signpost to the next album? How am I meant to know? Does the band know? Maybe stick it on and take it for what it is, might be the best idea.
