Having been spoiled with so much good and lively music, I nearly went into overload when Bowling for Soup came on the stage, barely giving the crowd time to catch their breath before launching into another rockin' tune. Guitar and plectrum tricks abounded, some failed to the sounds of raucous laughter but most succeeded to the crowd's delight.
When they did give us time to regroup, it was for light-hearted banter and sweet tales of a 3 year old's request to her daddy that when in London, if he should see Mary Poppins, he should say hello from her. This inevitably led to about five minutes of Dick Van Dyke impersonations which the crowd suffered good-naturedly and then paid back in kind with their Texan accented singing of the chorus to 1985.
All in all a fantastic gig with so much life and enthusiasm to it that all you can do is shout 3 cheers for the post-punk era and then rock some more.page << 1 2 >>
