DRT Entertainment is a privately held, New York-based independent record label founded in 2004 by accomplished music industry executives Derek Shulman, Ron Urban and Ted Green. In January 2006, Mr. Shulman became President and CEO of the label, with Mr. Green, CEO of Anchor Bay Entertainment and Mr. Urban remaining as DRT board members.

With an emphasis on Rock, DRT and its growing staff of young and seasoned music industry professionals provide an environment for artists to achieve commercial success while remaining true to their artistic goals. The label's targeted sales and marketing strategy allows them to devote attention and resources to their both their developing and established artists in strategies that are flexible, creatively structured and immediately profitable. DRT's artist roster includes Clutch (who in 2005 achieved the highest Billboard Top 200 debut of the group's 10-year career), Powerman 5000, Blindside, Soil, Street Dogs, American Head Charge and Gwar, as well as developing acts Aphasia, Scotch Greens, Lynam and Artimus Pyledriver.

DRT recently signed a U.S. distribution deal with Universal Music Group's Fontana Distribution. DRT is also distributed by Universal Music Group in Canada, as well as a number of leading independent distribution companies in the rest of the world including Pinnacle in the United Kingdom and JVC Records in Japan.

As both an artist and a distinguished executive, Mr. Shulman has brought a unique outlook to his work in music and entertainment. As an artist, Mr. Shulman is the former lead singer for sixties pop sensation Simon Dupree And The Big Sound, as well as progressive rock pioneers Gentle Giant. As a music industry executive, he has held a range of impressive positions including Senior VP of A&R, PolyGram Records; President, Atco Records; and was Roadrunner's first US based President, where he led the company in achieving its first multi-million selling records (Nickelback, Slipknot). He has been responsible for signing a succession of eminent artists, most notably Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Tears For Fears, Men Wthout Hats, and Dexy's Midnight Runners.

Mr. Shulman has also realized success with platinum and multi-platinum artists as diverse as AC/DC, The Rembrandts, Sweet Sensation, Pantera, Jive Bunny, Bad Company, Michell'e, Fear Factory, Slipknot and Nickelback. Under his guidance, DRT has grown exponentially in just over 2 years, while remaining true to its artists and its vision.
