I can't imagine a day with no musicMasked math-metal monsters Dr Slaggleberry return from their stint in the studio to release the highly anticipated, instrumental album The Slagg Factory. The release highlights the bands ability to uniquely blend math metal, progressive rock, jazzcore and experimental sounds.
In February 2009, Dr Slaggleberry performed live at Red Stripe Music Awards in their home town, Oxford, proving that their 'outstanding technical ability' (as quoted from 'The Fly') was undeniable. Red Stripe Reviews described their performance as 'unforgettable.'
The doctor's most recent EP release, Tuc Into The Tar, recordings taken from an XFM live session with John Kennedy from June 2008, received a mass of support from national print media, and was described as 'the stuff legendary cult digital math core bands are made of' by 'Terrorizer Magazine'.
2008 was a whirlwind year for Dr Slaggleberry… They released the self-titled EP, Dr Slaggleberry, at the beginning of the year and were immediately awarded Single of the Week from Organ magazine for their track Scat, which was later released as a single, leading to an Organ Magazine front cover! National radio support came from stations such as XFM, Kerrang Radio, Total Rock and BBC 6 Music. It was the release of Scat that caught the eye of XFM's John Kennedy, leading to the live session invitation which subsequently went on to be released as the aforementioned Tuc Into The Tar EP.
