London based rock band Fiction Plane have released their UK debut, Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses, as limited edition on Everybody's Records. Produced by Paul Corkett, (The Cure, The Bad Seeds, Nick Cave) Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses has been hailed as "the most superb release this year."
The EP's leading track "American Standard" was mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent known for his work with U2 and Bjork.
"We always played lots of different stuff, all the time but with the first album, the producer really put his stamp on it and this time we just wanted to play the songs how we wanted to play them - so that's how we did it," says Fiction Plane front-man , Joe Sumner. "Basically, we made a conscious decision [on the EP] to not be too conscious about what we were doing."
Fiction Plane received critical acclaim with their debut album Everything Will Never Be OK which was released on MCA Records in 2003.
The band is currently in the studio recording their second full-length which is set for release on Geffen Records later this year.
