HIM - Digital Versatile Doom
Long established as one of the world's biggest cult bands, HIM have confirmed the release of their first live collection 'Digital Versatile Doom - Live At The Orpheum Theatre XXXVII A.S.' on March 31st through Sire / Warner Bros. Records.
An essential package for HIM's legions of fans who catapulted their album 'Dark Light' to the Top 20 on both sides of the Atlantic, 'Digital Versatile Doom' documents a 2007 set at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
The live CD includes scintillating performances of the Finnish band's biggest hits and most loved songs to date
including the hit singles 'Wings of a Butterfly' (#8), 'Funeral of Hearts' (#15) and 'Killing Loneliness' (#26).
The package's DVD segment features the concert directed by Meiert Avis (Bruce Springsteen, U2) as well as music videos, band interviews, fan videos and other bonus content.
HIM's current album release, 'Venus Doom', is their sixth to date and continues to boost their ever-growing reputation. The band - lead by enigmatic frontman Ville Valo - also played two high profile UK gigs to coincide with the album; a headline slot at the Give It A Name festival as well as a guest appearance at Metallica's gargantuan Wembley Stadium show.
HIM are currently embarking upon a European tour that runs into the middle of March, after which they'll head to Australia.
