I Like Music Because heading
  • PatrickPatrick: ilikemusic because... Music came from the universe...always finding a way into societies from the beginning of time. I imagine it has always been out there waiting for us to show up. I'm so glad we made it!

  • Hugo, The MaccabeesHugo, The Maccabees: ilikemusic because... I just do. I’ve always liked music. It’s just my thing.
  • Sylvia PowellSylvia Powell: ilikemusic because... It can make me happy yet it can make me feel sad. It helps me remember, but it can also make me forget. Most of all I like music because it makes me feel alive.
  • Ellen, Los CampesinosEllen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
  • Hard-FiHard-Fi: ilikemusic because... what else is there to like?!
  • Rhys, Good ShoesRhys, Good Shoes: ilikemusic because... It gets you moving.
  • Stine RichardStine Richard: ilikemusic because... its the only way I know how to express myself...
  • Jo WhileyJo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
  • SarahSarah: ilikemusic because... i feel like all my problems just melt away

Linkin Park - Given Up

Linkin Park follow their arena tour with the release of the single 'Given Up' on March 3rd on Warner Bros. Records / Machine Shop Recordings.

Produced by Rick Rubin and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, 'Given Up' combines a punk energy with a grinding riff and represents one of the heaviest moments on their chart-topping album 'Minutes To Midnight'.

'Minutes To Midnight', recently reissued as a UK Tour Edition format, has already sold in excess of 4-million copies worldwide (more than 300,000 of which were in the UK) and has yielded the singles 'What I've Done', 'Bleed It Out' and 'Shadow Of The Day'.

Having played a phenomenal headline set at last summer's Download festival, Linkin Park returned to these shores in January for their first full tour since the release of 'Minutes To Midnight'. The tour included two sold-out shows at London's O2 arena.
