Teenagers will be the fourth single to be taken from the album following Welcome To The Black Parade (#1), Famous Last Words (#8) and I Don't Love You (#13). The album has currently sold 400,000 copies in the UK alone as part of a global total of 2.5-million.
The Black Parade album has made My Chemical Romance a global phenomenon since its release in October last year. The band's previous album, 2004's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, proved to be their breakthrough with sales in excess of 2-million.
My Chemical Romance's headline slot at Download will be their biggest festival gig to date in the UK having appeared third on the bill at Reading and Leeds last summer. Their recent UK tour was their biggest so far and culminated in two headline shows at Wembley Arena. They were also the main support at Muse's Wembley Stadium show.
