FRANKYNERO: ilikemusic because... its the only way i can really express myselfPapa Roach have announced the arrival of their fourth album, The Paramour Sessions as well as a new single .
The album comes hot on the heels of 2004's Getting Away With Murder, a watershed album that saw the Californian quartet shake off any links with the nu-metal scene that rocketed them to fame and three million album sales in 2001 with debut album Infest.
Like its predecessors, The Paramour Sessions is a ferocious slab of straight-ahead rock music, launched by the three minute call-to-arms of new single …To Be Loved that sees singer Jacoby Shaddix turn in one of the most intense vocal performances of his career. Joining Shaddix in the band is guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer David Buckner.
Alive and Crash follow the opener in a similar vein before the band show their more melodic side on The World Around You and Forever. Illustrating the band's growth in confidence over the years, Time Is Running Out even features an acoustic guitar and stadium-sized "woah woah woahs".
Papa Roach's regular visits to the UK have been a key factor in building up their substantial British following, and a small amount of those fans were able to catch the group at a very special show at London's 100 Club on August 29th.
