Discovered and brought to the masses by Manu Chao in 2007 after a tip off from a UK promoter, Peyoti For President both opened and closed Manu's recent sell out UK tour playing to audiences of 5000 plus at venues like the Brixton Academy. Tom Robinson from BBC 6 Music described the band as "Not so much a pop group..More an attitude…more a way of life…more a way of thinking" Peyoti are about re - evaluating this modern day world and how societies function but equally, they are a high energy feel-good band whose performances consistently leave audiences grinning, sweating, and inspired.
Peyoti For President are a multi-ethnic collective of musicians with global origins based in London and spear headed by front man Anglo-Italian, Pietro Dimascio. In 2009 the live band consists of 5 members including Pietro Dimascio, Sabio (Poland), Luis Castaneda (Columbia), Daniel Cerejo (Portugal), and Ulisses Bezerra (Brazil) and son of famous Brazilian musician Silva Da Bezerra.
Peyoti For President's debut album 'Rising Tide Of Conformity' released in May took 3 years to make, and made some amazing support in the world wide media such as Rolling Stone magazine in Germany and The Independent in the UK.
