Released: 10th January 2005
October 2004 saw the launch of one of the most exciting bands to debut this year. It has been a long time since a young, new group has come along with a rock'n'roll heart as big as that of London band Rooster.
Racing ahead into 2005, with the No 7 single 'Come Get Some' under their belts, a groundbreaking performance streamed live to the 3 Mobile Network, and a sold-out tour of "sweaty venues across the country", on 10th January they release their second single 'Staring At The Sun' - the favoured live song of fans and critics alike.
Rooster are Nick Atkinson: vocals, Luke Potashnick: guitar, Ben Smyth: bass/backing vocals and David Neale: drums. The band settled on the name Rooster after Nick came home £250 richer after putting a bet on a horse called Rooster Booster. The band then started work on their album, with all four musicians having put in many years learning their craft; playing live and walking the walk. After a decade long passion for writing and singing, what Rooster have produced is a dynamic blend of accessible rock.
