Stereophonics - Innocent

Stereophonics mark their hotly awaited return with their sensational new single Innocent, available from November 9th 2009 - the first from the band's eagerly anticipated new studio album Keep Calm and Carry On released November 16th on Mercury Records.

Written by Kelly Jones and produced by Kelly with Mercury-Award winning producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian) Innocent is one of the standout tracks from the new album, a richly melodic, hook laden, bittersweet gem.

Lyrically on Innocent, Kelly was inspired by his teenage memories.

"I was thinking about early teens, enjoying those first experiences of freedom, where you're allowed to stay out till 10 or 11 o'clock and you're walking around the orange lit streets with your music playing, tasting alcohol for the first time, kissing girls for the first time. But sometimes we were also forced to face harsh lessons in life through innocent mistakes."

The new record Keep Calm and Carry On, their seventh studio album is a stunning 12-track collection that has taken them in some surprising and extremely enjoyable new directions. Their previous five studio albums have all gone straight to No.1 and last November they released their career embracing Greatest Hits Collection Decade In The Sun, which sold almost a million copies in two months.

The return to the site of their historic 1998 Cardiff Castle show for a special afternoon concert, October 3rd, which sold out in a cool 40 minutes and has tickets priced at £12.50 - the same price they were at their iconic show in June 1998.

The band also play their only London show of 2009 at Electric Ballroom, September 21st, the band's first performance in the capital since their triumphant sold out show at the O2 last December.

Stereophonics are - Kelly Jones (Songwriter, Vocals, Guitars), Richard Jones (Bass), Javier Weyler (Drums) and Adam Zindani (Guitars).
