• The 2005 Eagles 'Farewell 1' tour was ranked as the top - grossing tour of the year in July of 2005.
• Formed in the early 70s, they released their last studio record in 1979 and didn't tour again until1994. As Glenn Frey said "For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation".
• In the intervening years each of the band members pursued successful separate careers.
• In 1994 the reunion tour spawned the live Hell Freezes Over album (named for Henley's recurring statement that the group would get back together when hell freezes over).
