THE HUNT IS OVER - CALL OFF THE SEARCH
After two weeks in hot pursuit of U2 lyrics on websites all over the world, the U218 Lyric Hunt is over. Thousands of people entered the competition which gave fans the chance to win a trip to Hawaii.
Competitors were asked to rearrange letters hidden on websites worldwide into a sentence that answered the question: 'WHERE SHALL WE GO?'. If they had the right letters, they would have been able to answer: 'LET'S GO TO HONOLULU'.
Tamara Kendall from London successfully collected all the letters to find the correct answer, which means that she and a friend will be flying to Honolulu in early December to see the final night of U2's Vertigo Tour.
'The Saints Are Coming', the new U2 and Green Day single, is out now for one week only. All proceeds from the release will go directly to Music Rising, the charity set up by The Edge, producer Bob Ezrin and Gibson Guitar. The campaign's goal is to rebuild the musical heart and culture of the Gulf Region by replacing the musical instruments lost during Hurricane Katrina. page << 1 2 >>
