'Holiday' is a pivotal moment in the 'American Idiot' concept, with its vitriolic lyrical attack on America's war campaign set to a stomping punk soundtrack. 'Holiday' is the third single to be released from the album, following the Top 10 hits 'American Idiot' and 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams'.
2004 was a phenomenal year for Green Day. 'American Idiot' sold in excess of 3-million copies worldwide and received seven nominations at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards nomination ceremony. The band also enjoyed phenomenal success on the live circuit, having headlined the Reading and Leeds festivals and also announced their biggest UK show to date at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes.
Green Day have just completed their UK tour with dates throughout January and February 2005. Meanwhile, Green Day and The Foo Fighters have confirmed that they will headline this year's T In The Park festival.
The festival takes place over the weekend of July 9-10 at Balado, Scotland.
The Killers, Ian Brown, Kasabian, Prodigy, Audioslave, Embrace, Keane, Razorlight, Biffy Clyro, The Streets, Beautiful South and The Coral have already been confirmed.
