simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.

The follow-up to her debut hit, "Closest Thing To Crazy" this one is another amazing, delicate, musical delight.
Katie has already headlined at the Shepherds Bush Empire and performed on the Royal Variety Show each time with an orchestra and brass section; she has met The Queen who had heard her single on the radio and declared that the song "was very nice"; and she has sold more than 100,000 copies of her album "Call Off The Search".
Yet the 19 year old singer, who is being courted by all the major record labels, is choosing to take things back to basics and play a small acoustic set:
Katie - "I just love playing, so it doesn't matter whether it's a tiny club or the Albert Hall. I loved performing at the Shepherds Bush Empire, but equally I think it is important to play in small places. The intimate atmosphere is great and I'm looking forward to playing my songs in their most simple and stripped-down state."
The decision is not surprising: Katie has turned down a string of big money deals from major record labels and refuses to be 'packaged' like the stars of Pop Idol. She remains adamant that "it is all about the music and that is what I love most".
