dj tie one: ilikemusic because... its like cornflakes in the morningHere is the debut release from East London recording artist, songwriter, rapper and performer Deadly. She started life out as a member of M.I.C (Mentally Ill Crew) which was founded by one of Grime's most influential and consistent producers Griminal, before leaving to focus on a solo career.
Deadly has been making moves since then and has featured on numerous mixtapes as well as hosting the OYM Records compilation album 'Lordz Of Dubstep' which is available from HMV, Amazon, Play and all good stores. Deadly was a guest artist alongside Ghetto and Chipmunk on Lighting's 'Young & Gifted' mix CD, which is considered to a classic mixtape in Grime scene. Deadly is a Grime artist with a difference, and on this debut release she proves that she is destined for big things.
Deadly released a free five track downloadable promo entitled Queen Of This Ting at the beginning of 2008 which receive a mass amount of street exposure and which wetted Deadly's appetite for success and in her own words Greatness. Deadly began examining her own path and how she was going to achieve Greatness and decided she was going to release a full length feature showpiece entitled First Place Greatest Kid. Deadly's open-minded approach to music has led to her previously featuring on bassline tracks and she has been creating musical allies up and down the country and extended her musical gift from her roots in East London to other cities outside of the capital.
