Ginuwine - A Man's Thoughts

Multi-platinum selling artist, Timbaland and Missy Elliot collaborator and member of R&B's superstar strata, Ginuwine returns after a four year hiatus with the release of his sixth album, A Man's Thoughts, available from 5 October 2009 through Notifi / Warner Records - and already a Top 10 smash in the US. A double-A single, Last Chance/Trouble, available from Sept 28 2009.

"Forget singing about the latest VIP club or expensive drink," he says. "I've matured a lot since I was last on the scene. I want to take it back to the blueprint that Marvin Gaye and the soul legends designed. This is a new beginning for me."

Recording over forty songs in a matter of months, Ginuwine recalls that the concept for A Man's Thoughts came to him midway through the process. "I'm a married man with a family, so I like to think I'm wiser than I was ten years ago," he says. "I'm not doing back flips on stage or singing raunchy songs - I've come into my own and I hope this growth is reflected."

It's an all-star line-up with super-producer Timbaland lacing Ginuwine with hypnotic lead track Get Involved and Missy laying her predatory purr across a dancefloor-banger that shuffles and twists around low-slung bass and stripped back electronics. "Tim and I are like brothers," says Ginuwine. "We still have a good vibe in the studio and it felt like no time had been lost between us. Having Missy on board was the icing on the cake."
