Following on from Andrew Weatherall's lauded mix, this summer Harmless Records' 'Watch the Ride' series heralds a welcome return for the Drum and Bass pioneer, the legendary Goldie.
With his own productions and label Metalheadz, Goldie has consistently been at the cutting edge of Drum and Bass, championing some of the brightest talents and rawest sounds the scene has to offer with acts such as Dillinga, Adam F and Optical all benefiting from his touch. He was also the driving force behind the rise of the infamous Metalheadz Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at East London's Blue Note club.
Continuing to hold his own at the forefront of the drum and bass scene, the latest installment in the Watch the Ride Series captures the essence of what has always made the D&B veteran so passionate about music: a dark, gutsy sound going back to the roots of jungle, made ever the more potent through state of the art studio production. As you would expect from one of the masters of the game the mix is filled with cutting edge sounds, including exclusives from Subwave, D Bridge & Goldie, Barney Trouble, Rufige Kru, Friction & K Tee, D Kay & Lee from the Metalheadz stable plus further exclusives from Shy FX and System.
