dj.NOMSTA*: ilikemusic because... music likesme!
simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
Jo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
Josh Ritter: ilikemusic because... It’s like an envelope that I can carry around with me wherever I go and I can unfold the letter at anytime.
susan rowe: ilikemusic because... it reaches the soul, sooths the mind, speaks volumes, lightens the heart. music is food for my soul.
Martin Rowe-Miller: ilikemusic because... it enabled me to win the Motorokrstar UK competition and record with Wyclef and Fergie.
henry rush: ilikemusic because... ilikemusic.com keep me posted on what's happening and help me figure out what i need to do to chase my dream.
Steff, Webmaster Musebr.com: ilikemusic because... the shows are very good, we make friends, we jump, and everybody scream so loud, and for a moment we forget all the problems of the world!
lolo: ilikemusic because... music is where some people display affection, show emotions and actually showing off who they are and their thinking. it is special unlike anything cos it goes out and never comes in back but in others.
After a 3 year break, Jay Sean returns on 21st January with the single 'Ride It,' a sleek fusion of shimmering Eastern strings, enticing percussion and seductive vocals. The first track to be taken from upcoming album 'My Own Way,' released 31 March, it features productions from fresh new British production team, Sampson Productions, along with top-notch production from New York posse J-Remy and Duro.
Jay on 'Ride It': "It started off with me f***ing about in the studio with a rap, jumping around like a joker. It's all about the games people play across the dancefloor on a night out - how you can catch someone's eye and accept a challenge that lasts the rest of the evening. We put it up on the internet early '07 and it blew up!" The underground frenzy highlighted by the video to 'Ride It' being viewed over 500 000 times on YouTube from leaked demos in little over 4 weeks.
Jay's debut single 'Dance With You,' released in '03, was recorded with top cutting-edge producer Rishi Rich, peaking at number 12 in the UK charts and establishing Jay as a serious new talent. His debut album 'Me Against Myself' consolidated expectations and went on to chart within the UK top 30, with further singles ('Eyes On You' and 'Stolen') hitting numbers 6 and 4.
