Keisha White - The Weakness In Me

New year, new beginning and a stunning new release from one of Britain's brightest stars. Keisha White is back in a big way in 2006 and will release her much-anticipated brand new single 'The Weakness In Me' on 20th February 2006.

'The Weakness In Me' is Keisha's own interpretation of a beautiful love song first recorded by acclaimed British artist, Joan Armatrading in 1975. The song is an emotionally charged ballad based on a young woman's tale on her guilt-ridden relationship with another man. "Why do you come here, when you know I've got troubles in enough? Why do you call me, when you know I can't answer the phone?" she asks her forbidden lover in the song. Keisha's powerful vocal delivery cements the words to The Weakness In Me deep into the minds of every listener.

With an astonishing voice far belying her tender years and an impeccable ear for melody, this 19-year-old North Londoner brings a breath of fresh air to the British pop scene.

At a time when audiences are moving away from the manufactured and toward the genuine, Keisha meets this new demand perfectly. With Keisha White there's no mimed, over choreographed dance routines, just an amazing voice, cutting edge lyrics and great music. Keisha insists, "I want to bring back something that's been almost lost for so long - great singing, live instruments and first rate songs."

"Soulful, sunny sounds and stunning vocals." (ilikemusic.com)

"Next Big Thing" (Sunday Times Magazine)

"Tipped for the top" (OK - Hotstars)

"The gorgeous vocals of Keisha White have her marked as one to watch - keep 'em peeled." (Blues & Soul)
