Kinetic - However & London Tonight
Kinetic (aka Courtney Castello) has been described as a Mercurial Talent hailing from Stoke Newington in North London. Whilst growing up around this area he watched it evolve from the period of riots in the early eighties to the upbeat cosmopolitan neighbourhood that it is today.
Drawing inspiration from this backdrop of urban life, he has developed a style of music & lyrics that set him apart from other UK urban artists.
Hip Hop flavours mingle with Bhangra, Latin and Reggae / Dancehall vibes to create an intoxicating mix of styles underpinning his emotionally charged lyrical style.
Whilst working as a music journalist for various magazines, he was also busy writing & developing his music whilst picking up production & mixing tips from the producers he was working with. This body of work has now led to this Double A-Side vinyl release to be followed by his debut album 'Full Steam Ahead' later this year.
However: A lyrical celebration of individual dance styles addressed to an up-tempo electro backing track. 'From the Bogle to the Butterfly to the Drive By, you can tell me I'm Elvis when I start to Jive' This track with its humorous lyrics, vibrant character and infectious groove ensures action on the dance-floor from music lovers of all genres.
London Tonight: A narrative about the London clubbing scene complimented by a fusion of Asian Bhangra and urban flavours. This track represents the melting pot of different cultures found in and around the capital's nightlife scene. This is definitely one for the Urban Ravers out there.
Talented & confident, Kinetic has produced and mixed all his own music, making this a genuine solo effort.
Airplay on: Kiss, Choice, XFM, Galaxy, Unique, Freeze, Beat 106, Solar Radio and others
